Older Lake Dallas Homes
Lake Dallas has been here a long time — and walls with some history need a little more care.
Lake Dallas goes back further than most of its neighbors. The town was called Garza in the 1880s, took the name of the original Lake Dallas — now part of Lewisville Lake — and incorporated in 1965. So alongside newer builds there are plenty of established homes, with walls that have been painted, patched and re-hung over the years.
That matters when a TV goes up. An older wall might have holes from a previous mount, studs that aren’t where a modern bracket expects them, or patched spots over the drywall. We find solid framing before we drill, set the mount on studs or the right anchors for the wall, and make sure it’s level and secure before the TV goes on. If an old mount is already there and it’s sound, a TV swap is just $99.
Older homes also tend to have outlets in the wrong place for today’s TV walls. When the wall allows it, in-wall concealment runs everything inside for a built-in look: $75 if there’s already an outlet behind the TV, $100 if we bring power up with an in-wall power kit.
